Thư Chúc Mừng Lễ Khấn (Phần 2)

Dear  Maria Nguyen thi Thu Hang, Teresa Nguyen thi Minh Chau

Maria Nguyen thi Lich, Anna Đau thi Sinh, Maria Nguyen thi Hue,

Mdalena Nguyen thi Hong Phan Anna Do thi Vui

Maria Nguyen thi Thanh Phuong, Maria Nguyn th Ngoc Lan,

On this special day, you all officially make your definite commitment to God, I wish you to be filled with Holy Spirit; without Holy Spirit, God is far away.

Here I also like to share with this very short expressions on our 3 vows:

Poverty is about exercising stewardship over the goods of creation according to the equality and integrity of the Gospel.

- A Call for justice – mutual sustainability

Chastity is about engaging with the daily struggle and challenge of authentic sexual and relational growth.

- A Call for love, a new way of relating.

Obedience is about exploring and proffering ever new ways to engage responsibly, collaboratively, and creatively with the issues of powers & powerlessness that we encounter in daily life.

A Call for limitless listening. Finally listening to the Father’s will.

Fr. Nicolas Adolf (previous Superior General of S.J. just passed away a few days ago) said: the way of Trinitarian ecological movement are:

Where there is suffering there is Jesus,

Where there are loving dances there is Holy Spirit,

Where there is mystical silence there is Father.

These 3 dimensions are inter-related

in the process of communion with the creation.

May we follow

Mary of the Passion’s example

and be open to the grace

that is being given,

to fully participate

in this reconciling action

of the Spirit,

bringing us the healing,

forgiveness and inner freedom

so necessary

for our own selves,

for our lives together

and for the mission

of the Institute

in the world.

(Letter Nr 4)

“ To share what one has is nothing if one does not give oneself.”  - St. Louise M.

On your special day my prayers will be with you all !

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your future missions.
May God hold you in the palm of His hand!

And trust in our Loving God who is always behind each one of you !

Chao Em, Anna!

Tomorrow, is profession day of the 9 sisters!  Congratulations to them and esp to Sr. Teresa Mihn Chau who you said will be coming to the Philippines. I am truly anticipating tomorrows announcement of mission assignments. I have not announced here because no one from the Generalate gave the news...I said..What about if they change their mind at the last minute?  I will catch the mass in GMA becasue I will go with the van that will bring back the caregiver.  Only chance to visit Lilian and others as the car has travel pass.

My congratulations and felicitaitons to you, too, who guided and formed the young women to be FMMs after the example of Mary of the Passion.

I had talked with Dung and I said she can go to GMA for her English study and since she has a nursing certificate and a specialist with handicaps, then she can help in   the care of the sick and elderly in the infirmary.

I had also talked with Thu Phoung. She is happy with the sisters in the infirmary.  She does not have to take a full nursing course....she is inclined to take a caregiving course which can only take 8 months to one year.  No diploma.

Lockdown in Manila will be partially lifted on June 1 unless this president of ours changes his mind again! Still, senior citizens like me should stay home.  People can only move about within metro Manila area and not go to other towns like Sariaya, Tagaytay, GMA.

My prayers are with you and the 9 young professed sisters tomorrow in a very special way!

Tam biet for now.

Marilen
